Shanghai American School Asian History Wiki
Message from Mr. Welker:Currently, we are having some trouble accessing this wikifrom within China, where the students who normally edit this wiki are located. Until we have regained access to Wetpaint sites, this wiki will not see many updates. Check back shortly to see if we've gotten back to work on our Asian History wiki!
Welcome, 9th graders, to your very own Asian History Wiki. What is a wiki, you say? The Wiki is a place where you can come to extend the learning that goes on in our classes, meet and chat with friends about topics related to class, and find ways to connect the content we're studying to what you've experienced and are witnessing while living in Asia today. Remember: history is happening! And we're a part of it. This website will give you the chance to be part of history, to reflect on events from the past and seek to understand how they affect us today! Welcome to the SAS Asian History Wiki, where you decide what is learned and how you learn it!

Hi everybody, congratulations on producing a wonderful wiki. Interesting, clear, easy to read and informative. I will be showing teachers here in Australia the wonderful work you are doing.
Have you read Geoffrey Blainey's A Short History of the World? It is an interesting read and there is quite a bit of content relating to Chinese history and the influences on Chinese civilization. I enjoyed reading it and wonder if you would too. You may also have seen the following webquest: http://www.kn.pacbell.com/wired/China/ChinaQuest.html. Again I found it quite interesting Elizabeth Antoniak Teacher Librarian Australia |
